Missio Dei [n]. Latin; English translation: “Sending of God” or “Mission of God”
The Missio Dei Project (MDP) is creative, church-based leadership training designed to equip and commission emerging leaders for effective ministry in any context. It is an intensive internship program designed for 20-somethings who are motivated to mold every facet of their lives to the glory of God.
Though designed for 20-somethings, MDP has trained interns ranging from ages 18 to 31. Upon acceptance into MDP, each intern receives tailored leadership development within a specific ministry field based upon availability, gifting, and interests. A commitment of 20 hours/week is expected, and compensation is provided.
Insider access: As an MDP Intern, you will have a unique opportunity to experience church ministry from the inside by jumping all-in to one of over seven different ministry departments (e.g. worship, outreach, student ministries, adult ministries).
Relevant Academics: Be prepared for nation-wide leadership conferences, quarterly retreats, and the occasional early Saturday morning workshop where you will dive into various topics such as philosophy of leadership, church and culture, and your spiritual gifts, strengths, and personality. Don’t worry, coffee is provided!
Spiritual Disciplines: In weekly fellowship with your peers, you will learn to study and memorize God’s Word, labor in prayer, and abide in Christ like never before.
Organic Adventures: When you join the MDP team, you will learn to live on mission right in your own backyard. Whether it’s engaging your own neighborhood, your college campus, or even the corporate marketplace, there’s always an exciting adventure on the horizon.
